With ongoing activities in downtown Minneapolis and in our broader community, there will be street closures and possible traffic disruption. Our state and city are working to provide a safe environment for all. Hennepin Healthcare is a critical resource and has prepared by making modifications to support our team, patients, and community. Balancing open and inviting facilities with buildings that are safe and secure is our primary concern.
What you need to know:
As you prepare to come to your appointments we recommend you give yourself a little extra time to drive through downtown.
You may notice plywood covering windows on some buildings. This is being done out of an abundance of caution. The areas behind the plywood remain open and we are here to serve you.
National Guard members may be present at many public facilities downtown, including HCMC.
We have systems in place to protect our patients, visitors, team members and physical facilities.
If there are any changes to services, we will make you aware of them here and through other communication channels.
Please be assured that all possible steps are being taken to keep our environment safe as our community moves through the coming weeks and months. Our facilities are a place of healing, and it’s imperative that we remain sanctuaries for our patients, visitors and staff.
