Hennepin Healthcare received the highest level of recognition from the American Heart/American Stroke Association
For the seventh year in a row the Hennepin Healthcare Stroke Center has received the highest level of recognition that the American Heart/American Stroke Association awards to hospitals participating in their quality improvement registry – Get with the Guidelines, 2023. The award recognizes the hospital's commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.
In order to accomplish this, the Hennepin Stroke Center had to comply with several performance and quality measures for 24 months and Hennepin Healthcare exceeded all of these requirements.
Hennepin Stroke Center also achieved Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite, meaning we treat at least 85% of eligible patients with IV thrombolytic therapy within 60 minutes of arrival.
Hennepin Stroke Center also received the Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll which ensures patients with type 2 diabetes receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care when hospitalized with CVD or stroke.
