PCA Annual Assessments

MVNA is an independent contractor that provides the Public Health Nurse (PHN), required by Minnesota statute. Public Health nurses complete the assessment to determine if a person qualifies for Personal Care Assistance (PCA) services and, if so, for how much PCA time is needed. PCA services help a person with day-to-day activities in their home and community. PCAs help people with activities of daily living, health-related procedures, and tasks, observation, and redirection of behaviors and instrumental activities of daily living for adults. PCA services are available to eligible people enrolled in a Minnesota Health Care Program. MVNA is not a provider of PCA services, other than the PHN assessment.

Visit the Minnesota Department of Health website for more information on PCA consumer information.
