Dr. Anderson graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in 1984. He completed his residency training in family medicine in 1988 and received a fellowship in sports medicine in 1989, both at Hennepin County Medical Center. After a year in private practice, he returned in 1990 to the Department of Family Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center as a faculty physician. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Anderson is the co-director of the primary care sports medicine fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center. He is also the Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine. He divides his time between patient care and teaching. His special interest is sports medicine.
