Clinical Expertise

Dr. Vogenthaler is committed to compassionate and comprehensive medical care for HIV and general infectious disease patients. He completed medical school and his Internal Medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco. After residency, he studied at the University of California, Berkeley, where he completed a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology. Prior to entering fellowship, he pursued an interest in global health working in Lixin, China with the Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation to establish HIV training and treatment programs. He subsequently completed his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Emory University. While at Emory, his research focused on the relationship between food insecurity and HIV care and treatment outcomes. He remains committed to addressing social and structural barriers to optimal health and medical outcomes.
