Degenerative joint disease occurs when cartilage padding of the joint wears away, causing the bone to rub against bone.
- Often, though not always, involves both hips
- Pain in the groin, usually aggravated with rotational movement
- Increased pain with activity
- Stiffness in joint
- Cracking or grinding sensation in the joint

Hip Labral Tear Symptoms
The hip labrum functions like a seal around the outside of the joint. Hip labral tears occur when the labrum is torn from degeneration or traumatic injury.
- Pain in the hip region or groin
- Catching or locking feeling in joint
- Sometimes there are no signs and symptoms, and no treatment is needed.
