The Children's Hospital at HCMC

The Children’s Hospital at HCMC includes the General Inpatient Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Newborn Nursery, and Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Our general inpatient unit is a 15-bed unit which specializes in the care of infants, children, and adolescents. Our multidisciplinary team includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, therapists, child life specialists and chaplains. We are dedicated to meeting the physical, developmental, and emotional needs of the children in our care, and make every attempt to ensure your child's hospital stay is as comfortable as possible.

Our unique, tightly-knit team works closely together, partnering with our patients and families every day. We take small steps to provide big comfort to our patients. We use numbing medications to take away the fear and pain of needle pokes and allow parents to hold their child during an IV start. We offer a safe and secured unit with private rooms, a play room, computer access, electronic entertainment options, arts and crafts, and lots of toys and games as a part of our family-centered pediatric care. We are dedicated to making sure families are involved in and understand the hospital care being provided and we are grateful to families for trusting us with their care.
