Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is a branch of medicine that specializes in restoring or improving physical function after an accident, surgery, disease or other events that caused loss of function.

Services

The highly skilled physical therapists (PTs) at Hennepin Healthcare teach patients how to prevent or manage their condition by developing a customized patient-focused plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability. The range of conditions vary from a specific joint problem to a condition requiring relearning how to get out of bed, sit, stand and walk.

Hennepin Healthcare has excellent PT care for both inpatients and outpatients of all ages. Our therapy is multidisciplinary and patient-focused working on the patient’s goals from the very beginning of their journey.

Hospital-based care

This is a hospital-based clinic owned by Hennepin Healthcare. Many insurance plans pay for health care services provided in a hospital-based clinic differently than those provided in a doctor’s office. Your insurance may require that you meet your annual deductible and/or require that you pay a percentage of the bill rather than just an office visit co-payment. You should check with your insurance company if you have any questions. Read the Frequently asked questions about hospital-based clinics to learn more.
