Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy

Vestibular rehabilitation is a non-invasive treatment option for patients suffering from dizziness and balance disorders. Our physical therapists use technology and high quality testing procedures to evaluate patients with balance disorders.

Conditions treated

Vestibular Conditions Treated

  • BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo)
  • Balance problems
  • Dizziness
  • Gait abnormalities
  • Motion sensitivity
  • TBI/concussion
  • Vertigo

These disorders may be caused by disease or injury to your vestibular system - those parts of the inner ear and brain which control balance and eye movements.

At your first appointment, the physical therapist will take a detailed medical history, assess your balance while sitting, standing, and moving, evaluate your posture, and complete vestibular screening and testing.

Following the initial evaluation, your physical therapist will suggest a treatment plan based on test results. Specific exercises, designed to retrain the brain, are an integral part of vestibular therapy.
