What can you expect?

If your doctor has referred you or you have called us yourself, our first steps will be to identify what is happening. To that end, mammography and ultrasound are the test we perform.

We will schedule you to see one of our specialists within in one week to discuss what we saw in your tests. We will discuss ongoing treatment and follow up, if needed.

Mammography & ultrasound

A mammography is the first step in detecting breast cancer. It uses low doses of radiation to produce high-quality x-rays that help medical professionals identify and prevent breast cancer. Women should start getting annual mammograms starting at age 40.  If your mammogram is not clear or is there is a finding an ultrasound will be done.  Our women’s imaging area is staffed by radiologists who specialize in reading and interpreting mammograms, breast ultrasounds and MRIs.
