Consult with a medical specialist on emergency and critical care patients and/or initiate transfers into Hennepin Healthcare. This number may also be used to request non-urgent physician-to-physician phone consultations. Please do not use this number to refer into outpatient clinics.

Hennepin Healthcare is a regional referral center for both emergency/critical care cases and complex elective procedures.
Connect with a medical specialist. Hennepin Healthcare receives referrals from the upper Midwest (including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota) and works closely with referring physicians to ensure the continuity of care when a patient returns home.
Call Hennepin Connect to:
- Initiate a transfer on behalf of your patient
- Discuss a complex or unusual case
- Request a non-urgent physician-to-physician phone consultation
We will need the following information:
- Patient's name
- Date of birth
- Nature of the medical problem
- Referring provider and phone number
