Hand Therapy

Hand therapy is a healthcare profession that aims to restore an individual's functional capacity using specific assessments and treatment skills focusing on the hand/upper extremity. Therapists specializing in hand therapy aim to restore function, limit the progression of a pathology, or prevent upper limb dysfunction to help individuals perform everyday tasks in the home, at work, and recreational activities. A hand therapist may also have advanced certification and designated with the title of Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
