Clinical Expertise
Dr. Solakian received her PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She completed her pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the North Chicago VA Medical Center and completed her post-doctoral training at the Washington DC VAMC. Since becoming a licensed psychologist she has worked as part of a multidisciplinary team at the Washington DC VAMC Substance Abuse Recovery Program where she conducted group, individual and couples therapy. She has also worked as a Compensation and Pension examiner conducting mental health evaluations for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
