Pediatric gastroenterology involves diagnosing and treating diseases of the digestive system as well as the liver and biliary system. These are conditions of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, pancreas and liver. Problems that children can deal in their digestive system may be very different than those of adults. They may present differently, may cause other issues or may even be caused by something entirely different.
