Clinical Expertise

Dr. Shaffer’s interests and areas of expertise include mechanical circulatory support, heart failure, and ventricular assist devices, heart and lung transplantation, aortic root repair and aortic reconstructions, adult congenital cardiac surgery, and transcatheter endovascular surgery.
