FAMILY DIVERSITY TOOLKIT
Resources to talk about prejudice, inclusion and diversity
This toolkit was created by the Department of Pediatrics. We're so glad you are visiting and hope you find these resources helpful.
Mission
Hennepin Healthcare's Department of Pediatrics acknowledges that racism, prejudice and discrimination are social determinants of health that negatively impact the health of children in our care. By challenging structural and systemic barriers, the Department aims to eliminate health disparities due to race, ethnicity, gender, or socioeconomic status. Hennepin Healthcare Pediatrics strives to provide exceptional care without exception to all children and their families.
Values
- Create and nurture a respectful environment of anti-racism and equity for patients and staff
- Equip our staff and patients with the necessary tools to understand trauma-informed care, celebrate diversity and promote inclusion
- Practice equitable healthcare
- Engage in anti-racism advocacy
