Clinical Expertise

Dr. Siddappa is a staff Neonatologist in the Department of Pediatrics and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota. She earned her MD from JJM Medical College, Mysore University, India. She completed postgraduate training in Pediatrics from Bangalore University, India and Pediatric/Neonatology training under Overseas Doctor Training Scheme (ODTS), UK. She completed her Pediatric residency and fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine from the University of Minnesota. Her areas of clinical interest include Neonatal Nutrition, Neurodevelopment, and Medication safety. She has done research studying the effects of perinatal iron deficiency on the developing brain and has published her work in peer-reviewed journals.
