Clinical Expertise
Dr. Heath attended the McGill University Faculty of Medicine, obtaining his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery degrees in 1995. He then completed a one-year transitional internship at Hennepin Healthcare prior to a three-year general psychiatry residency in the Hennepin Regions Psychiatry Training Program.
Dr. Heath proceeded to complete a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Rochester in New York. After completing his training, Dr. Heath worked at the Minnesota Security Hospital for seven years, three years as Clinical Director, prior to joining Hennepin Healthcare’s Department of Psychiatry in 2007. Dr. Heath’s other accomplishments include completing forensic evaluations, neuropharmacology, pharmacologic treatment of paraphilias, and ECT.
