Jeffrey D. Ho, MD

Dr. Ho earned his medical doctorate in 1992 from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, CA. He completed an Emergency Medicine residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in 1995 and a Fellowship in Prehospital Care/Emergency Medical Services in 1996. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is an Examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

In 2003 he was awarded a Bush Foundation Medical Fellowship in Law Enforcement that allowed him to complete his peace officer standards training. He is a licensed deputy sheriff in the state of Minnesota and currently serves with the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office. Dr. Ho has previously served as a medical director/operator of an urban SWAT team, and is currently a medical director for several Minnesota EMS agencies and has over nine years of reserve military experience. He is considered a national and international expert in areas where medicine and law enforcement intersect. His research expertise involves the study of non-lethal intermediate weapons and human physiology related to law enforcement operations as well as prehospital patient care issues.
