Karien is a Physician Assistant who specializes in psychiatry. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Biochemistry from Central College in Pella, IA. She moved to Minnesota in 2014, where she received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Bethel University in Arden Hills, MN. She is board-certified and received her board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in 2016. She worked for three and a half years providing outpatient, psychiatric care to economically challenged adults.
