Clinical Expertise

Kaylin is a Nurse Practitioner who works in the internal medicine department at the Clinic and Specialty Center in Minneapolis. She has a background working in long term care facilities managing older adults and those with comorbid conditions. She currently sees a wide variety of patients in her primary care practice as well as in the jail setting where she manages patients with chronic health conditions. In addition to her primary care patient panel, she counsels those interested in weight management through The Great Slim Down Program. Through this program she provides individualized counseling to people interested in managing their weight using the standard treatment guidelines for obesity: nutrition, physical activity, behavior change and medications. She is passionate about lifestyle medicine, preventative health and serving vulnerable patient populations.

She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a doctorate in nursing practice specializing as an Adult/Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She additionally completed a certificate through the center for spirituality & healing at the University of Minnesota. Following graduation, she completed a post-graduate certificate through the University of Winona where she became board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She is an active member of the Obesity Medicine Association and completed her Certificate of Advanced Education from the Obesity Medicine Association.
