Melissa Eisenmenger, PhD, LP

Dr. Eisenmenger is a licensed psychologist. Dr. Eisenmenger received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Illinois Institute of Technology College of Psychology. Prior to joining Hennepin Healthcare, she completed an internship at the St. Louis Veterans Affairs Healthcare System and a post-doctoral residency at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Hospital, specializing in health and rehabilitation psychology. She currently works with brain injury patients as part of an interdisciplinary team. She also cares for patients who are interested in undergoing bariatric surgery. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and includes elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, third-wave psychotherapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to promote behavior change. Her clinical interests include the psychological and social aspects of disability, health promotion and disease prevention, and adjustment to chronic illness and disability.
