Thomas A. Bergman, MD


Dr. Bergman is Chief of Neurosurgery at Hennepin County Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Minnesota. He is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Minnesota. He has been certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery since 1991.

Dr. Bergman has authored and co-authored many published peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. He is an active member in numerous national and local organizations, including the American Medical Association, Minnesota Medical Association, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons/Congress of Neurological Surgeons Joint Committee of Spine and Trauma.

Dr. Bergman’s interests and areas of expertise include complex traumatic and degenerative spine conditions, brain trauma, and neurovascular conditions.
