Mpls. St. Paul Magazine’s 2018 Top Doctors: Rising Stars
Featured in April’s publication, the Mpls. St. Paul Magazine recognized 45 outstanding Hennepin Healthcare doctors across 19 different specialties for the fourth annual Rising Stars edition. From anesthesiologist to urologist, these rising stars are shaping the future of medicine to fit the needs of tomorrow. Doctors practicing for 10 years or less in their specialties were nominated by other physicians and scored on factors such as professional achievement and peer recognition. Selections were made following a blue-ribbon panel review. Altogether, 378 doctors in 40 specialties from across the Twin Cities were named as rising stars.
Meet one of our Rising Stars
With a love for traveling, Dr. Megan Shaughnessy specializes in infectious disease, is the medical director of our International Travel Medicine Clinic, and an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota. Prior to her fellowship, she spent a year in Tanzania volunteering at two hospitals. She especially enjoys working with our diverse populations and strives on the challenge. Her goal is "to provide the best quality care no matter who it is or what type of situation they’re in."
