Pulmonary Nodule Clinic
We offer specialized, expert care for adults found with small lung nodules after a chest x-ray or CT scanning. The Pulmonary Nodule Clinic brings together lung specialists, thoracic surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, and radiologists who work together as a team that is focused on each individual patient.
What is a lung nodule?
A lung nodule is an abnormality in the lung that often has no symptoms and can be detected on a CT scan or chest x-ray. They are small and round or oval shaped. Nodules can vary in size and location in the lung. Pulmonary nodules are very common and many are discovered each year during routine scans or X-rays.
This is a hospital-based clinic owned by Hennepin Healthcare. Many insurance plans pay for health care services provided in a hospital-based clinic differently than those provided in a doctor’s office. Your insurance may require that you meet your annual deductible and/or require that you pay a percentage of the bill rather than just an office visit co-payment. You should check with your insurance company if you have any questions. Read the Frequently asked questions about hospital-based clinics to learn more.
