Be the cheerleader nurses need right now
I would like to invite you to join Eric and make a charitable gift to support the nurses at Hennepin Healthcare. There is no better time to say “thank you” to our everyday heroes. Our nurses truly go above and beyond. They are caregivers, companions to lonely patients, and cheerleaders for their tired co-workers. Eric’s gift, he told us, was to show his support of nurses because he imagined they were especially stressed and tired right now.
“It was a very emotional day when my wife and I received the good news that I was in remission,” Eric adds. “Every day since has been a gift and we do not take a day for granted.”

“The team at Hennepin worked diligently to diagnose the epicenter of my excruciating pain and determine I had cancer. They found what others couldn’t,” shared grateful patient Eric Schwartz. Eric turned to Hennepin Healthcare in his time of need and spent much of 2019 receiving outpatient treatment at the Comprehensive Cancer Center.
“I met and bonded with many nurses during that time,” he says. “I am eternally thankful for their resourcefulness and their skill at administering an aggressive treatment plan that saved my life.”
Eric was so grateful that he took $500 of his savings and made a charitable gift to Hennepin Healthcare Foundation at the end of 2020. The gift was his way of doing all he could for the nurses who did so much for him during his health ordeal.
