What Generosity Does for the Doula Program

Generosity helps to improve birth outcomes in Minnesota by providing doula services at Hennepin Healthcare. A doula is an individual experienced in childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after childbirth. Doula care is evidence-based labor support that improves patient outcomes and enhances the care provided by the HCMC Birth Center team. Our goal is to ensure that patients feel safe, secure, and most importantly, confident from pregnancy to parenthood and doulas help us achieve this goal.

Doula Care is person-centered and evidence-based, and your generosity will make a difference in the lives of our patients.

"As first-time parents, we did all the right things to prepare. But, when we were in the throes of birth, it was hard to keep anything straight. Our doula offered gentle feedback and a calming presence. She made sure we had the birth we wanted. I am so thankful for our experience."
