Whether in joy or grief, I can count on the Birth Center staff to deliver expert, compassionate care.
My care team at the Birth Center gave wonderful care when I had my premature son in 2017.
In all honesty, I expected nothing less. Just a year before, I was at the Birth Center giving birth
to my stillborn son. The care rallied around me – giving me space, gentle care, their heartfelt
sympathy, and even offering hope and humor at the right moments. They were incredibly
attentive to the many family and friends who came to visit at such a somber time.
In 2017, when I was back, it was such a coincidence that I got nearly the same exact care
team, down to the nurses. They were just as ready as I was (if not, more so) for a better
outcome this time around. Whether in joy or grief, I can count on the Birth Center staff to
deliver expert, compassionate care. That consistency is such a balm to anxious moms.
Although 2016 was one of the toughest years of my life, I remember the Birth Center’s
kindness fondly. In 2017, I came in feeling assured. Sure, my baby, was premature but as long
as he was healthy, I knew I was in good hands. Babies are a blessing but so are the people
who help moms bring them into the world.
