“Being a medication therapy management pharmacist allows me to work closely with patients to help them achieve their health goals as well as develop an understanding on how each medication serves a purpose to help them achieve those goals. Working in specialty clinics allows me to serve as a bridge in care between patient’s specialty providers and primary care providers to ensure continuity of care across the system. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of a healthcare team that prioritizes individualized patient care.”
Clinical Expertise
Ashton is an ambulatory care pharmacist who has practice area interests including, but not limited to, rheumatology, dermatology, specialty pharmacy, and infusion services. Ashton received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree at North Dakota State University. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with an emphasis on Ambulatory Care at Hennepin Healthcare. She has been with Hennepin Healthcare working as a Medication Therapy Management Pharmacist since 2021.
