Commitment to Patient-Centered Care

“As an MTM pharmacist at HHS, I have the opportunity to work with both HIV/AIDS patients and infectious disease providers every day. For patients, my role often includes coordinating medications, assessing appropriateness, safety, and efficacy of those drugs, and helping improve adherence or manage side effects. For providers, I am a resource for drug information questions and management of complex medication issues for our patients. In addition, I work with our Gastroenterology and Liver Clinic to help expand pharmacist access for patients living with Hepatitis C.”

Clinical Expertise

George received his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, and then completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Hennepin Healthcare. He is an adjunct clinical faculty at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy within the Infectious Diseases curriculum. In 2012 George joined the Hennepin Healthcare team providing Medication Therapy Management in the Positive Care Clinic. He has since expanded his practice to serve patients living with chronic hepatitis C and Rheumatology conditions. George is the past president for the Minnesota College of Clinical Pharmacy.
