Commitment to Patient-Centered Care

“Being an Acupuncturist allows me to help people make lasting changes to their health through Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and nutrition. I love what I do and thoroughly enjoy helping people make healthy changes to how they eat that can last a lifetime.”

Clinical Expertise

Jamie is a Licensed Acupuncturist with a special interest in working with pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Jamie specializes in Prebirth Acupuncture, which consists of weekly treatments starting at 37 weeks until the due date or delivery. This treatment has been shown to decrease the overall duration of labor, help to release oxytocin, and minimize the need for medical inductions, epidurals, and cesarean sections, promoting more natural and efficient labor.

Jamie graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2012, with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. After graduating she relocated to Haiku on the island of Maui, working mostly at a community acupuncture clinic serving native Hawaiians. She has been with Hennepin Healthcare since 2018. Jamie is also passionate about nutrition. She loves to incorporate ancestral based nutritional guidelines into her practice, based on the healthy habits of indigenous cultures worldwide over the last 100 years.
