Jessica Brown is an acupuncturist licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and is a Diplomate of Acupuncture certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Jessica earned a Master of Oriental medicine (M.Om.) degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN in 2009. She completed clinical rotations at the Courage Center, Pillsbury House Integrated Health Clinic, and Edith Davis Clinic. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University where she studied cultural anthropology and biology with an interest in integrative medicine.
Jessica had the opportunity to complete an advanced studies program at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Tianjin, China, with a training emphasis on severe conditions such as stroke and other neurological disorders.
Prior to joining HCMC, she was an acupuncturist and the clinic manager at the Acupuncture Health Center in the Southdale Medical Center, Edina, MN. She continued her training under her mentor, Dr. Huan Ma, and refined her skills in treating a full range of conditions.
Her areas of special interest include pain management, oncology support, women’s health issues, and post-stroke rehabilitation. She retains an affinity for the integration of Eastern and Western medical approaches to health and enjoys the opportunity to create strong relationships with her patients, offering them comprehensive care and support.
