Hennepin Healthcare Sustainability Campaign

Often referred to as the "Green Movement", healthcare facilities across the country are becoming aware of their direct impact on the health of the community which they serve. Hospitals are aware of the growing movement of environmentally conscious and well-informed consumers who are managing their finances and their money in a new way. Consumers are making choices based on whether or not products and services are earth-friendly, ethically produced and made, recyclable, and energy-efficient.

In an effort to achieve our core mission, vision, values, and beliefs, we are committed to improving environmental management throughout the organization. Hennepin Healthcare’s multidisciplinary Sustainability Committee applies these principles to achieve optimal environmental standards consistent with institutional goals and financial considerations.

Initiatives Include:

  • LEED Certification
