“Working in a clinic setting gives me the unique opportunity to work directly with patients and their medical providers. I communicate patient-specific medication concerns to their medical providers, allowing for real-time discussions and prompt interventions. My area of expertise is with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B & C treatments and my true passion is for patient care. Issues related to antiretroviral therapies are complex but that doesn’t mean treatment has to be! These therapies demand correct administration and dedicated adherence to achieve treatment goals, it is my priority to help patients succeed in fighting these infections. I put the patient first and ensure the therapies work for them in a way that is safe and effective.”
Clinical Expertise
Kristen’s practice area interests include HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B & C treatments. Kristen received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and is credentialed through the American Academy of HIV Medicine as a HIV specialist. She has been practicing Medication Therapy Management since 2003 in the HCMC Positive Care Center and Infectious Disease Clinic.
